Vincere with Zapier

Invite candidates to an assessment when they are added to a Vincere talent pool, and where results can and cannot go back.

Vincere has a Zapier app that can send candidates into Test Candidates. It cannot yet write anything back onto a Vincere record, so results come back by email, spreadsheet or your own reporting. This article says exactly what works, as read from Vincere's Zapier listing and help centre on 19 October 2026.

Before you start

  • Vincere's Zapier integration is labelled early access. To connect it, Zapier asks for your tenant address (for example youragency.vincere.io), an API key, and then your Vincere login. Vincere's help centre says you get the API key by contacting Vincere support.
  • Zaps run for the whole tenant, for every user, and Vincere's triggers only fire from its ATS and CRM dashboards.
  • In Test Candidates, go to Settings, then Integrations, create an API key and connect Zapier. See Zapier and Make.

Recipe: invite everyone added to a talent pool

  1. In Vincere, make a public talent pool per role, for example "Acme payroll clerk: assessment". Vincere's trigger works with public talent pools only.
  2. Trigger: Vincere, New Candidate Added to a Talent Pool, and pick that pool.
  3. Action: Test Candidates, Invite a candidate to an assessment. Choose the role's assessment and map the candidate's email, first name and surname.
  4. Turn the Zap on. Adding a candidate to the pool sends the invitation. Someone already invited is skipped.

Vincere also has New Candidate Created in Vincere, if you want to test everyone who registers, and New Placement Is Added on Vincere, which some agencies use to send a working-style questionnaire after placement.

Getting results back

Vincere's Zapier actions today create contacts, send VinnyChat messages and manage subscriptions. None of them adds a note, changes a stage or writes a custom field, so a Zap cannot put a score on the candidate record. Your options:

  • Email the consultant. Trigger Test Candidates, Result unlocked, action Email by Zapier or Gmail, Send email, with the score and the report link. The consultant adds it to Vincere by hand.
  • A shared spreadsheet. Trigger Result unlocked, action Google Sheets, Add row. One sheet per client is a simple result log.
  • Our webhooks and API, if you have someone who can write a small piece of middleware against Vincere's own API. See webhooks.

Vincere's custom fields (Settings, Field Configuration, Candidates) are the natural home for a score once Vincere exposes them to Zapier. We will update this article when that changes.
