Teamtailor can send a candidate to a Test Candidates assessment when they reach a stage in your pipeline, and show the result on their candidate card when they finish. You set it up once, then choose the assessment per job inside Teamtailor.
Connect
- In Test Candidates, go to Settings, then Integrations, and click Connect next to Teamtailor. Copy the partner token it shows you. It is shown once; if you lose it, connect again to get a new one.
- In Teamtailor, open Marketplace, find Test Candidates and click Activate. Paste the partner token into the form and save. Teamtailor checks the token with us straight away and tells you if it did not match.
Only admins can connect. Anyone with the token can invite people to your assessments, so treat it like a password.
Choose the stage and assessment
- In Teamtailor, open the job and its pipeline.
- On the stage where you want the assessment to be sent, add a trigger and choose Send Test Candidates test.
- Pick the assessment from the list. The list shows the open assessments in your Test Candidates workspace. Save the trigger.
Use one assessment per role, so the candidates in Test Candidates line up with the job in Teamtailor. You can also run the trigger by hand from a candidate's card if you want to send one person without moving them.
What the candidate gets
When a candidate reaches the stage, Teamtailor sends us their name and email address and we send them the usual Test Candidates invitation email. Someone already invited to that assessment is not invited again. The candidate card in Teamtailor shows a Test Candidates result marked Sent.
If the candidate has no email address in Teamtailor, or the assessment has been closed, Teamtailor shows that as the error on the result so you can fix it and run the trigger again.
What comes back and when
Shortly after the candidate finishes every test on the assessment, the result on their candidate card changes to Completed, with:
- the score, as a percentage, when the result is unlocked;
- each test's score and result under View details;
- a link to the full report in Test Candidates.
You can build Teamtailor rules on the score and the status, for example to move candidates who score above a threshold to the next stage.
Locked results
Scores only come through once the result is unlocked in Test Candidates, the same as everywhere else. While a result is locked, the candidate card shows Completed with a note saying the result is locked and the link to the report, and no score. When you unlock it, the score is sent across and the card updates.
Disconnect
In Test Candidates, go to Settings, then Integrations, and click Disconnect next to Teamtailor. The partner token stops working at once, so triggers in Teamtailor will show an error until you connect again and paste the new token. Results already on candidate cards stay where they are. To remove the integration from Teamtailor as well, deactivate it under Marketplace activations in your Teamtailor settings and remove the triggers from your pipelines.
