With Breezy HR connected, moving a candidate to a stage you choose invites them to an assessment, and when they finish, the result appears on their profile in Breezy.
Connect
- In Breezy, click your user icon at the bottom left and choose My Settings, then the API Keys tab. Click Create API Key, give it a name and copy the key. Breezy shows it once.
- In Test Candidates, go to Settings, then Integrations, find Breezy HR and click Connect. Paste the key.
Test Candidates checks the key with Breezy before saving anything, and connects the first company the key belongs to. If you belong to more than one company in Breezy, create the key while signed in as a user who is only a member of the company you want to connect. Only admins can connect. Anyone with the key can read your candidates, so keep it private.
Stage moves reach Test Candidates through a Breezy webhook, which Breezy offers on its Pro plans. If your plan does not include webhooks, the connection still saves but candidates are not invited automatically; the Breezy card in Test Candidates says so.
Choose the stage and the assessment
- On the Breezy HR card, click Add trigger.
- Pick a pipeline stage, such as Assessment, and the assessment it should send. You can limit a trigger to one Breezy position, or leave it for every position.
The stages offered are the ones on your pipeline in Breezy. A trigger for one position uses that position's pipeline; a trigger for every position uses your default pipeline.
What the candidate gets
When a candidate is moved to that stage, they receive the usual Test Candidates invitation email, with your branding and the assessment link. Someone already invited to that assessment is not invited again, and a candidate moved to the stage twice gets one invitation. Candidates who are added to a position straight into the stage are not invited, because Breezy only reports a move between stages.
What comes back, and when
When the candidate finishes every test on the assessment, Test Candidates adds an assessment card to their profile in Breezy. The card names the assessment, shows the score, lists each test with its score, and has a button that opens the full report in Test Candidates.
If your Breezy plan does not include assessment cards, the same information is added as a note on the candidate's activity stream instead.
Results are sent a minute or so after the candidate finishes, so that all of their tests are included.
Locked results
If a result is locked, the card says the assessment is complete and that the result is locked, with the link to the report. It carries no scores. When you unlock the result in Test Candidates, the card is updated with the scores. Scores never appear in Breezy before you have unlocked them.
Disconnect
On the Breezy HR card in Settings, Integrations, click Disconnect. Test Candidates removes its webhook from Breezy and forgets the key. Your candidates and results stay in Test Candidates. You can also delete the key in Breezy under My Settings, API Keys, which stops the connection from its side.
