Recruitee

Send a Test Candidates assessment to a candidate from inside Recruitee, and see the result on their Recruitee profile.

With the Recruitee integration you send an assessment to a candidate from their profile in Recruitee, the candidate gets the usual Test Candidates invitation, and the result comes back onto their Recruitee profile when they finish. You choose the assessment inside Recruitee each time, so there is nothing to map between the two systems.

Connect

  1. In Test Candidates, go to Settings, then Integrations, find Recruitee and click Connect. Copy the token it shows. It is shown once; if you lose it, click Connect again for a new one.
  2. In Recruitee, open Marketplace, find Test Candidates and click Integrate.
  3. Paste the token and confirm. Recruitee checks it with Test Candidates straight away, and the integration is live.

Only admins can connect. The token lets Recruitee list your assessments and send candidates to them, so treat it like a password.

Send an assessment

  1. In Recruitee, open the candidate on the job you are hiring for.
  2. Click More, then Send Test Candidates test.
  3. Pick the assessment from the list. The list is your open assessments in Test Candidates; closed assessments and ones past their deadline are not shown.
  4. If Recruitee asks which job the candidate is being tested for, choose it.
  5. Click Send.

Use one assessment per role, so the candidates in Test Candidates line up with the job in Recruitee.

What the candidate gets

The candidate receives the same invitation email Test Candidates always sends, with their link to start. Recruitee does not email them about the test. If the candidate was already invited to that assessment, they are not invited again, and the report in Recruitee still fills in when they finish.

What comes back, and when

A Test Candidates report appears at the bottom of the candidate's Recruitee profile as soon as the test is sent, with the status Sent. When the candidate finishes every test on the assessment, the report changes to Completed and shows:

  • the overall score as a badge, with each test's score listed underneath;
  • an Open button that takes you to the full report in Test Candidates.

Results normally arrive within a few minutes of the candidate finishing.

Locked results

Scores only come through once the result is unlocked, the same as everywhere else in Test Candidates. If the candidate finishes while the result is still locked, the report in Recruitee says Completed with no score, and a line saying the result is locked. Unlock it in Test Candidates and the scores appear in Recruitee shortly after. Nothing you see in Recruitee is ever a score from a locked result.

Disconnect

In Test Candidates, go to Settings, then Integrations, Recruitee, and click Disconnect. The token stops working at once: Recruitee can no longer list your assessments or send candidates, and no further results are written to Recruitee. Candidates already invited can still finish, and their results stay in Test Candidates.

To remove the integration from the Recruitee side as well, open it in Recruitee's Marketplace and remove it there.

If something goes wrong

  • Recruitee says the token is invalid. Copy a fresh token from Test Candidates and paste it again. A token stops working when you disconnect, or when you click Connect again for a new one.
  • The assessment is not in the list. It is closed, past its deadline, or in a different Test Candidates workspace from the one that issued the token.
  • The result has not appeared. Check that the candidate has finished every test on the assessment, and whether the result is still locked.
