Comeet is now called Recruit by Spark Hire. With the Recruit integration you add a Test Candidates assessment as a step in a position's workflow. When a candidate reaches that step, Recruit sends them to Test Candidates, the candidate gets the usual invitation, and the result comes back onto their profile in Recruit when they finish. You choose the assessment inside Recruit, on the workflow step, so there is nothing to map between the two systems.
Connect
- In Recruit, open Settings, then Integrations, find Test Candidates and click Integrate. Click Copy Key.
- In Test Candidates, go to Settings, then Integrations, find Comeet (Recruit by Spark Hire) and click Connect.
- Paste the key and confirm. Test Candidates checks it with Recruit straight away, and the integration is live.
Only admins can connect, in both systems. The key lets Recruit list your assessments and send candidates to them, so treat it like a password.
Add an assessment to a workflow
- In Recruit, open the position and its workflow.
- Add a step, mark it as handled by Test Candidates, and pick the assessment from the list. The list is your open assessments in Test Candidates; closed assessments and ones past their deadline are not shown.
- Save the workflow. Each step runs one assessment. If you want a candidate to sit more than one, put the tests on one assessment in Test Candidates.
Use one assessment per role, so the candidates in Test Candidates line up with the position in Recruit.
What the candidate gets
When a candidate reaches the step, Recruit asks Test Candidates to send the assessment. The candidate receives the same invitation email Test Candidates always sends, with their link to start. Recruit does not email them about the test. If the candidate was already invited to that assessment, they are not invited again, and the step in Recruit still completes when they finish.
The candidate needs an email address in Recruit. Without one, the step shows a message saying so and nobody is invited.
What comes back, and when
When the candidate finishes every test on the assessment, the step in Recruit completes and an evaluation appears on the candidate's profile with:
- the overall score, on Recruit's 1 to 5 scale, where 1 is 0% and 5 is 100%;
- each test with its percentage and, where there is one, its pass or fail;
- a link to the full report in Test Candidates.
Recruit creates a task for you to review the result. Test Candidates never advances or rejects a candidate in Recruit; that decision stays with you.
Results normally arrive within a few minutes of the candidate finishing.
Locked results
Scores only come through once the result is unlocked, the same as everywhere else in Test Candidates. If the candidate finishes while the result is still locked, the step in Recruit completes with no score, and the evaluation says the result is locked. Unlock it in Test Candidates and the scores appear in Recruit shortly after. Nothing you see in Recruit is ever a score from a locked result.
Deleted candidates
If you delete a candidate in Recruit, Test Candidates notices within a few minutes, removes their name and email from the record of that send, and writes nothing further to Recruit for them. Their assessment results stay in Test Candidates until you remove them there.
Disconnect
In Test Candidates, go to Settings, then Integrations, Comeet (Recruit by Spark Hire), and click Disconnect. The key stops working at once: Recruit can no longer list your assessments or send candidates, and no further results are written to Recruit. Candidates already invited can still finish, and their results stay in Test Candidates.
To remove the integration from the Recruit side as well, open it in Recruit's Integrations page and remove it there. If you reconnect later, copy a fresh key from Recruit.
If something goes wrong
- Recruit shows a message that the account is not recognised. The key in Test Candidates does not match the one in Recruit. Copy the key from Recruit's Integrations page and connect again.
- The assessment is not in the list. It is closed, past its deadline, or in a different Test Candidates workspace from the one the key was pasted into.
- The result has not appeared. Check that the candidate has finished every test on the assessment, and whether the result is still locked.
