You will be asked what the test is like. This is the candidate side, in order.
The invitation
An email from your company name, with a subject naming your company and a link of their own. Opening it signs them in. There is no password for candidates either.
If they arrive through a shared link instead, they register with a name and email address first.
The welcome screen
They see who invited them, which tests make up the assessment, and your welcome message if you wrote one. Nothing is running and nothing is timed at this point. Looking at the list costs them nothing.
The list of tests
They take the tests one at a time, in your order, in their own time. They choose when to begin each one. Between tests they can stop and come back using their link.
Before each test
Each test has an instructions page saying what it contains and how long they have. If you granted extra time, they turn it on here, before starting. They can also turn on single-key answering.
During a test
A clock, a progress indicator, the question, and the ability to flag a question and come back to it. Numerical tests include a calculator and rough paper.
Two things candidates ask constantly, and the honest answers:
- Answers are saved as they go. Each answer is saved to our servers when they make it. Closing the browser does not lose the answers already given.
- The clock does not pause. It keeps running if they close the window or lose their connection. Only answers saved before time runs out count.
There are no practice questions and no breaks in the product. If you have read otherwise about other tools, it does not apply here.
Finishing the assessment
They submit each test, and after the last one they see your completion message. Personality and drives questionnaires have no clock at all.
What happens afterwards
Whether they hear anything from us depends on your setting. By default they hear nothing about their scores and it is entirely your call what you tell them. See share results with candidates.
