Test Candidates is a skills testing tool for the people doing the hiring. You choose a handful of tests for a role, send one link to the people who applied, and read what came back. Nothing is installed, and candidates need no account with us beyond the one they create when they start.
What a hire looks like end to end
- You build an assessment: a named set of tests, in the order candidates take them.
- You invite candidates, either by sharing the assessment link or by emailing them individually.
- Candidates take the tests in their own time, in a browser.
- Results arrive as each test is submitted, and you read them as a report per candidate.

Who Test Candidates suits
It suits a role where you are seeing more applicants than you can interview and the CVs do not separate them. It is most useful early, before interviews, where a consistent piece of evidence about everyone is worth more than another read of a CV.
It suits teams without a psychologist on staff. Every test carries its own guide explaining what it measures, what a stronger score supports and, just as importantly, what a score does not establish.
What Test Candidates is not
- It is not a decision. A score is one piece of evidence next to your interview, a work sample and everything else you know. The reports are written to say so.
- It is not a pass mark. We do not set a cut score for you and we do not tell you who to hire.
- It is not a background check or an identity check. There are integrity checks you can turn on, and they give you context for a conversation rather than proof of anything. See can candidates cheat?.
What you pay for
You pay per candidate whose results you unlock, not per test and not per seat. Your whole team can use the account. Current prices are on the plans page, and how pricing works explains the three ways of paying.
