The charging rule
A candidate counts once, when the first of their completed results unlocks for your organisation.
Two halves, and both matter.
Once. However many tests are in the assessment, however many they take, a candidate is counted a single time. Unlocking their second, third and fourth test costs nothing.
When a completed result unlocks. Not when you invite them. Not when they register. Not when they start. And not when they finish the whole assessment.
The part people get wrong
A candidate who completes one test out of three and then stops has a completed result. That result unlocks, and that candidate is counted.
This surprises people who expect to be charged only for a finished assessment. It is worth knowing before you build a five-test assessment for a role with a high drop-out rate: the people who abandon after test one still count, as long as they submitted it.
What does not count is a candidate who starts a test and never submits it, and a candidate who registers and never starts.

Keeping the bill down
- Do not over-invite. Inviting is free, but a candidate who submits one test counts, so a wide funnel costs more than a narrow one even when most people drop out early.
- Put the test that matters first. If people are going to stop after one, make the first one the one you would have read anyway.
- Do not split a role across two assessments. A candidate assessed twice under two assessments is two candidates.
