There is no password on a Test Candidates account, so there is nothing to reset and no password to have forgotten. If a colleague is asking you for the password, that is the answer.
The sign-in link has not arrived
Give it a minute, then:
- Check spam and junk. This is the answer most of the time.
- Check the address. The link goes to the address you typed, and only an address on an account receives one.
- Ask again. Links are single use and time limited, so an older one in your inbox will not work. A fresh one takes seconds.
- Ask your IT team to allow mail from
testcandidates.com, if it keeps happening to people at your company. See making sure our emails arrive.
The link says it has expired or been used
Both are working as intended. A sign-in link is single use and time limited, which is what stops a link sitting in an inbox being a permanent way into your account. Request another.
You changed your email address and cannot get in
Check whether you confirmed the change. Until you open the confirmation link sent to the new address, the old address is still the one that signs you in, and the profile page says so.
Sign in with the old address and either confirm the new one or correct it. You cannot lock yourself out by mistyping a new address.

Google or Microsoft will not sign you in
- Make sure you are choosing the work account that is connected, not a personal one with a similar address.
- If the account was recently disconnected, connect it again from my profile.
- Fall back to an email sign-in link, which always works alongside a connected provider. Nothing about connecting a provider can lock you out.
You were signed out unexpectedly
Two things do this deliberately:
- Confirming a new email address signs out other devices.
- Disconnecting Google or Microsoft signs out other devices.
Both are security measures. Sign in again.
Nobody at your company can get in
If the only person on the account has left, email support@testcandidates.com from a company address and explain. We will need to establish that you are entitled to the account before we do anything, which is the protection you would want if it were someone else asking.
Avoid it by keeping more than one person on the team. It costs nothing. See add and remove team members.
