What candidates need
A current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, and a connection they trust. Keeping the browser up to date matters more than which one they choose.
Nothing is installed and there is no plugin.
Phones and tablets
The assessment works on a phone and the questions are laid out to be readable on a small screen.
Even so, a laptop or desktop is better where the candidate has one. Some questions include a table or a chart, and those are harder to read on a small screen with a clock running. Say that in your invitation, and candidates who have a choice will make the right one.
Do not require a computer. For some candidates a phone is the only device they have, and making a laptop a condition of applying screens on income rather than on ability.
Things that break a test
Script blockers and strict privacy extensions. These stop the test loading. The candidate can usually disable them for our domain or use another browser.
Locked-down work laptops. Corporate security policies sometimes block what the test needs. Suggest a personal device or a different network.
Very old browsers. A browser several years out of date may load the page and fail on a question type.
If a candidate says the test will not load, the candidate help centre has the full list of things to try: the test will not load.
Accessibility support
Candidates can turn on single-key answering on the instructions page before a test, which lets them answer with the number keys, flag with a key and clear an answer with a key.
Extra time is set by you, either for everyone on the assessment or for one candidate. It is the main adjustment available and it is worth offering proactively. See timing, extra time and adjustments.
Turn on the setting that tells candidates they can request an adjustment. Most candidates will not ask unless they are told they may, and a request before the test is much easier to handle than a complaint after it.
If a candidate needs an adjustment the product does not offer, talk to them about it and consider assessing them another way. That conversation is yours to have, not ours.
What you need
The employer side runs in the same browsers. There is nothing to install.

If a page in the app comes up as an empty shell under the navigation, reload it. It is a loading fault rather than a sign you have been signed out.
