Get help during an assessment

Who to ask for what, and what to include so the first reply is useful.

Last updated 20 September 2026

There are two people who can help, and picking the right one saves you a day.

Ask the employer about the assessment itself

The company that invited you decides everything about the assessment. Ask them about:

  • extra time or any other adjustment
  • a deadline you cannot meet
  • sitting a test again after something went wrong
  • feedback on how you did
  • why you were asked to take it, and what happens next

Their contact details are in the invitation email that brought you here. If you have lost it, they are also on the job advert you applied to.

Ask us about technical problems

We run the platform, so come to us when the technology is the problem:

  • a test that will not load
  • a link that has stopped working
  • a page that broke part way through
  • anything you think went wrong on our side

Email support@testcandidates.com. Include the link you were sent if you still have it, so we can find your assessment quickly.

What to include when you contact us

The difference between a one-reply answer and a three-day exchange:

  • Which test, by name.
  • What you saw. The exact words of any error message beat a description.
  • When. The date and roughly the time.
  • Your browser and device. For example, Safari on an iPhone.
  • A screenshot, if you can take one.

If it is urgent because the clock is running

Say so in the first line. A timed test does not pause while you wait for a reply, so tell us that up front and get on with whatever you can in the meantime. See the test will not load.

What we cannot do

We cannot give you your results, tell you how you did, tell you whether you got the job, or give you another attempt. Those are all the employer's, and sending them to us adds a step rather than saving one. See do you get to see your results?.
