How do I interpret Mechanical Reasoning results?
Mechanical reasoning tests assess a candidate’s ability to understand and apply mechanical concepts. Candidates will be presented with a series of images showing mechanical problems or scenarios and must answer questions based on these. Areas tested might include mechanics, circuits and types of energy transfer.
Developed by experts in the field and reviewed by chartered occupational psychologists, our test assesses key skills which are essential for success in any area of work which requires mechanical reasoning.
The test includes an image or graph and a series of multiple-choice questions that the candidates need to answer within 10 minutes. The test is timed to ensure candidates are judged both for quality and speed. Typically, candidates will be given about one minute per question.
Candidates will be scored out of 100% and you can easily compare the test scores across the talent pool in order to ensure you only move further with the top applicants.
