How do I interpret Logical Reasoning results?
Our Logical Reasoning test assesses how well a candidate is able to analyse a variety of logical information and use this information to establish missing concepts within a pattern or sequence. The images and symbols vary across questions and there are a variety of different activities that the candidate will be asked to undertake, but the underlying construct measured is logical reasoning. Developed by chartered occupational psychologists, our logical reasoning test assesses key skills which are essential to the everyday working environment.
Employers use logical reasoning tests as they reveal a candidate's deduction and problem-solving skills. Since the ability to solve problems effectively is a universal skill, it's no surprise these are used by employers hiring for a wide range of roles.
The test includes a sequence of shapes and a series of multiple-choice questions, which the candidates need to answer within 10 minutes. The test is timed to ensure candidates are judged both for quality and speed. Typically candidates will be given about one minute per question.
Candidates will be scored out of 100% and you can easily differentiate between good and excellent candidates in order to ensure you only move further with the best-performing talent.
